Council Meetings
Open to the public, in person, on Zoom, and recorded for later. Local democracy you can actually watch from your kitchen.
When and where
Silvermere's Regular Council Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Community Forum, #101 to 445 13th Avenue, on the first and third Mondays of each month. In July and August, meetings are usually only held on the second Monday. Meetings are open to the public and also broadcast via Zoom.

How a meeting day runs
Council typically uses a three-part day:
- 3:00 pm, Committee of the Whole (open). Council reviews items in detail before voting on them later.
- Closed Session, for matters that must be confidential under the Community Charter (legal advice, personnel, land negotiations).
- 7:00 pm, Regular Council Meeting (open). The formal session where Council adopts resolutions, gives bylaw readings, and hears delegations.
Agendas, minutes, and recordings
Agendas are posted to the City's website the Friday before each meeting. Read the agenda first if you're attending or watching, you can follow the discussion much more easily.
Minutes become the official record once Council adopts them at a subsequent meeting.
Recordings of Council meetings are available from 2020 onward through the City's meetings page. Live broadcast is on Zoom.
