Silvermere RCMP
Local detachment, two phone lines (one for emergencies, one for everything else), and the online report path for minor property crimes.
Two lines, one rule
The Silvermere RCMP detachment is at 440 Lakeshore Avenue, Silvermere, BC, V0X 1S0. Two phone lines, one decision rule.
- Crime in progress, immediate danger, life-safety: call 911.
- After-the-fact report or general question: call the non-emergency line at 250-555-0120.
Important
When in doubt, call 911
File a report online
For certain non-emergency property crimes, you can file a report online without calling. The RCMP accepts online reports for:
- Mischief and property damage under $5,000
- Theft under $5,000, including bicycle theft and vehicle theft
- Lost property
You’ll get an on-screen confirmation and a file number once submitted. Keep that number for any follow-up. For anything else (or if you’re not sure your case qualifies), call the non-emergency line at 250-555-0120.
Other services
The Silvermere RCMP also handles criminal record checks, victim services referrals, and community-policing initiatives.
- Criminal record checks: call the detachment at 250-555-0120 to confirm current process, fees, and required ID. Some checks go through the federal RCMP online portal; the detachment will tell you which path applies.
- Victim services: reach the Silvermere Victim Services Program through the detachment’s non-emergency line. Confidential support for victims of crime and trauma.
