Property Mapping
The City's previous SilverMap viewer has been retired. A new mapping tool is under development.
Current status
SilverMap, the City's previous online interactive map (built on standard GIS tools), has been retired. The City's page states: “This tool is no longer available. A new mapping tool is under development.”
What to use in the meantime
Until the new mapping tool launches, the City directs residents and professionals to the Property Information Request process for property-specific questions, including:
- Zoning designation and permitted uses
- Lot lines and dimensions
- Servicing details (water, sewer, road status)
- Other map information the City would have published through SilverMap
Submit a Property Information Request through Development Services. The Property Information Authorization PDF is on the Documents & Forms page.
Tip
Have a property file from before?
Where the zoning rules live
All zoning regulations are set in Bylaw 411 (Zoning), adopted July 2024 alongside the Official Community Plan (Bylaw 404). The bylaw is the authoritative source for what is and isn't permitted on any given property.
When will the new mapping tool launch?
The City has not published a launch date for the replacement tool. Watch the City news section, or contact Development Services for the latest status.
