Current Development Applications
What's in the pipeline. If something near you is on the list, here's how to weigh in.
Where current applications are listed
The City publishes active development applications on silvermere.example, typically organized by application type and address. Council meeting agendas also include staff reports on current applications, with all supporting materials available for review.
How to comment
If an application affects you or your neighbourhood, you have several ways to be heard, all of them genuinely on the record. Council is required to hear public input on rezonings and OCP amendments before voting, and written comments submitted to the Director of Corporate Services are added to the meeting package even if you don’t attend.
- Attend the Public Hearing for rezonings and OCP amendments. You can speak without pre-registering.
- Write to the Director of Corporate Services before the Hearing. Your written comments become part of the public record.
- Appear as a delegation at a Council meeting on broader policy issues.
- Email Council members directly on a specific topic.
How notifications work
For major applications (rezonings, OCP amendments), the City is required to notify nearby property owners in writing and post public notice. If you receive a notice in the mail about an application, take it seriously and read the materials.
