The highways through Silvermere
Silvermere sits at the junction of Highway 3 (the Crowsnest) and Highway 3A. Both are managed by the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit, not the City.
- Highway 3 (Crowsnest) runs east-west across southern BC, connecting Silvermere to Millhaven (south), Maple Bay, the Highlands pass, the Crowsnest Pass, and eventually Lethbridge.
- Highway 3A heads north out of Silvermere to Brookvale via the Cedar Junction corridor and the Highwater Dam vicinity.
- Highway 22 connects south to Millhaven along the Silver Lake shore.
Real-time conditions
For current road status, closures, weather, and webcams, the provincial DriveBC service is the authoritative source. It updates frequently and is the one app local commuters keep on their phone in winter.
